Shutter speed in CCTV
CCTV cameras need light to create images and videos. In dimly lit places, images and videos may be seen dark or blurry, and objects may look like ghosts, all due to problems with the wrong lighting and shutter speed in the CCTV. For this reason, it is very important to consider the shutter speed in the CCTV camera.

The Concept of Shutter Speed in CCTV
CCTV cameras are constantly taking photos. To take each photo, light must pass through the camera vent and shine on the camera sensor so that the CCTV camera can take continuous photos and send the right image to record on the recorder.
Imagine a CCTV camera taking a lot of shots every second. The more shots per second, the more accurate and detailed the image will form.
So a faster CCTV shutter speed means more shots per second and more detail.
Also, the longer the shutter time of the CCTV camera, the less likely it is that moving objects in the image will be blurred, which will be especially important in the technology of license plate reader cameras
To understand better, pay attention to this example: Your camera starts forming an image. The shutter time or shutter speed of the CCTV camera is 5 seconds. This means that from the start of image formation until its completion, it takes 5 seconds. If during this period, an object moves in front of the camera, its image will be recorded in a blurred manner. Consequently, the higher the shutter speed and the shorter the image formation time, the clearer the output images will appear.
Usually, the shutter speed of CCTV cameras in ordinary places such as homes does not cause any particular problem. But in places such as highways, highways, etc. Shutter speed is of particular importance.
Based on the definition mentioned above, CCTV camera shutter speed refers to the duration the shutter remains open. The longer this duration, the more light passes through the lens and diaphragm, reaching the sensors to capture a properly exposed image.
How to Adjust Shutter Speed on CCTV
The shutter speed in most CCTV cameras is on automatic by default, and the camera controls the shutter speed automatically. When the camera is set to "Auto" mode, the camera will automatically change the shutter speed according to the lighting conditions. However, if you want to adjust the shutter speed manually, set the camera to shutter priority mode and select the shutter speed.
We recommend using the automatic shutter speed mode, because in manual adjustment mode, images may be too dark or too bright.
